With rumours that Wesley Sneijder could be set for a switch to Galatasaray, an old video has appeared of his wife embracing the Turkish culture in a film role.

Negotiations have taken place between the two clubs this week as the Dutchman looks to leave the San Siro after falling out of favour in Italy. His actress wife Yolanthe tweeted that that ‘Istanbul is really nice’ and it isn’t her first Turkish encounter.

In 2006 she played the part of a Muslim Turkish girl in the Dutch short comedy film Turks Chick, where she seduces Fokko, a teenage boy. Like her husband, she is quite the handful up front and the lucky boy cannot believe what is happening to him.

Before you worry about what happens next, in the film his brothers appear out of nowhere and she flees the scene, though it later transpires it was all just a dream. So close, yet so very far.

There is also a serious side to her work. The television host is also a co-founder of Stop Kindermisbruik, a foundation to put an end to child sexual abuse in developing countries.
