Sunderland look set to complete the signing of Darron Gibson by the end of the week, according to reports.
The 23-year-old Irishman is said to be happy about how talks have progressed with the Black Cats and is ready to finalise the switch.
The Derry native has been frustrated by a lack of first team opportunities at Old Trafford and is hopeful of securing more game time at the Stadium of Light.
However, Sunderland are still believed to be hopeful of snatching two other players from Premier League champions, namely, Wes Brown and John O’Shea.
