The 404 error page can be a terrible sight for websites – we know it only too well ourselves – but Sunderland have added a bit of creative flair to theirs.

The 404 or Not Found error message is something you never want to see, but alas the Internet and technology can be a troublesome combination at times. It means that the server could not find what was requested and can be a most frustrating sight.
Sunderland decided that if someone on their site was to encounter such a page, they would at least make it a little more entertaining for the reader. The picture is a dig at the Newcastle fan that punched the horse after the Tyne-Wear derby a few months back and is a novel way of bringing humour to the page.

You can see the link in full here and enjoy Sunderland’s attempt at their own bit of horseplay. It reminded us of RTE’s 404 page which features the saddest Bosco you will ever see.
