The name and number on this jersey might evoke unpleasant memories for Manchester United fans, but you’d want to be incredibly bitter not to appreciate its brilliance.

Because of the Euros and the Olympics the last few months without Premier League football haven’t seemed as long or insufferable as they usually are, but it’s great to have it back this weekend all the same.

Whatever this season does produce, it will have to go a long way to replicate anything close to the drama of the final day of the last campaign, when Sergio Aguero’s late, late strike sealed Manchester City’s Premier League title on goal difference.

Most people will remember Martin Tyler’s incredibly dramatic commentary on Sky on the day, but just in case you don’t, one City fan has commemorated the occasion with a jersey containing Sergio Aguero’s name spelled with 19 O’s and the date that will be remembered by Citeh fans forever.

As far as we know, they tend to charge by the letter for names printed on the back of jerseys these days so the fan in the photograph probably paid through his teeth for it, but he’ll no doubt believe it was well worth it.
