Shane Long scored on his West Bromwich Albion debut as the Baggies took on champions Manchester United at the Hawthorns on Sunday.
Long joined the Baggies in a £7m deal from Reading last week and made an instantaneous repayment with the first half equaliser against Sir Alex Ferguson's champs, but in the end it was to be a frustrating afternoon for the home side as Steven Reid turned Ashley Young's cross past Ben Foster.
It's been a weekend of draws in the first round of fixtures of the new Barclays Premier League season, with Chelsea and Arsenal involved in goalless games at Stoke and Newcastle respectively, while Liverpool were held by Sunderland at Anfield on Saturday.
Back to this afternoon, and Long's debut goal for West Brom, which raised questions about United's new £20m, 20-year-old goalkeeper David De Gea for the second week running.
The former Atletico Madrid starlet has big boots to fill following the retirement of Edwin van der Sar, but having been at the wrong end of pointing fingers following the Community Shield win over City, he was again criticised for his sluggish attempt to stop Long's effort (below).

However, it was the other Irishman in the Baggies starting line-up, former international Reid, who inadvertently decided the game in United's favour, with the former Blackburn Rovers man turning the ball into his own net nine minutes from the end.

The result result at the Hawthorns means United have stolen a march on all their rivals among the traditional Big Four, although nouveaux riches Manchester City will also be expected to win when they take on newly promoted Premier League whipping boys Swansea City in Monday night's game.
