Video: Irish fan gives camera the finger after one of the many German goals
A little crude perhaps, but with one gesture to the camera, this guy summed up how a nation of Irish fans were feeling this evening.
Having started very positively in the first ten minutes, Ireland crumbled in the face of a far superior German outfit and eventually conceded six goals, our worst performance in the Trapattoni era and probably in living memory. There wasn’t even any game in Stan’s time that compared to this.
As a result, we were all feeling a little crappy throughout proceedings at the Aviva and one guy summed up the sentiments of a nation after he was caught on camera following Marco Reus’ second goal towards the end of the first half (see video above).
That was after the second goal, could you imagine what we has like after the sixth? In fact, we don’t even want to think about, we’re too depressed. Ugh.
Hat-tip to Eoin Hamilton for the picture.
