Everyone knows what John Terry is supposed to have said to Anton Ferdinand, but many mightn’t have spotted the couple of sneaky elbows that Ferdinand gave him before their little tête à tête.
Granted, Ferdinand’s elbows (see video above) were hardly vicious by any stretch of the imagination, but having caught him once, Rio’s equally annoying little brother went back for seconds after the ball had been cleared down the pitch.
It was after that little episode that Terry is alleged to have racially insulted Ferdinand, but despite there being a number of players in the vicinity of the incident, nobody seems to know exactly what went on.
With the police and the FA both conducting an investigation into the matter, the case rumbles on, but contrary to reports earlier today that three QPR players had given evidence against Terry, the club have denied any formal contact, saying: “There is no truth in these stories whatsoever.
“None of the three players have been called to give evidence or will be called to give evidence.”
Ashley Cole, meanwhile, is reported to have testified to the FA that he didn’t hear Terry make any racist remarks, meaning that both Terry and Cole have protested the England captain’s innocence.
Saying that, Terry, a man with a litany of offences as long as his arm and Cole, a guy that cheated repeatedly on the gorgeous Cheryl with a series of fame-hogging tarts, could hardly be described as stand-up witnesses.
