After opening the scoring with a well-taken header to give Liverpool the lead against Udinese tonight, the Liverpool midfielder was keen to make his point with a two footed lunge for a celebration.

The former Charlton player was irate at being sent-off against United after a collision with Jonny Evans and voiced his displeasure at Alex Ferguson as he left the field of play. He has since apologised for his outburst, but it appears he was still not happy with the decision.

We're not sure that Alex Ferguson was watching, but it was a novel way of making a point.
