South African defender Rooi Mahamutsa put in a tackle this past weekend that puts Fr. Ted’s booting of Bishop Brennan up the hole to shame.

This past weekend the Orlando Pirates faced SuperSport United in South Africa in a goalless cup semi-final first leg at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

There may not have been many sharp shooting in the scoreless match but Pirates defender Mahamutsa did emphatically kick two balls pretty accurately.

Thabiso Nkoana's was the victim as Mahamutsa caught him with a wild kick to where the sun don’t shine as you can see in the video above.

Hilariously Mahumutsa is incredulous at the referee’s decision to send him off despite the blatant, wince-inducing kick.

He has since apologised via the Pirate’s club website, but we don’t think Nkoana will forget or forgive him anytime soon.

As the commentator at the end of the clip succinctly puts it - “Ouch!”
