![Welcome to Hollywood! Robbie Keane scores on LA Galaxy debut [Video]](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcms.joe.ie%2Fuploads%2F2011%2F08%2Fstory_15140_15140-xlarge.jpg%3Fheight%3D1024%26width%3D1024&w=1536&q=75)
Robbie Keane was quick off the mark in his first game in LA Galaxy colours this morning, scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 win over San Jose Earthquakes.
Keane became the latest big-name acquisition for Major League Soccer last week, inexplicably swapping a bench in dreary north London for $85,000 a week and a starring role in sunny California.
And he bagged his first goal in Galaxy colours after just 20 minutes of the MLS meeting with San Jose on Saturday night/Sunday morning.
As you’ll see from the video above, as well as the obligatory assist from David Beckham, the Ireland skipper was helped by some laughable defending and goalkeeping.
But still, it can’t be a bad thing for Robbie to be amongst the goals with those Euro 2012 qualifiers against Slovakia and Russia just two weeks away.
