Jack Wilshere was speaking to ESPN about how he would gladly welcome Gozalo Higuain to the Emirates, but the collective Arsenal welcome would be more colourful.
The Real Madrid striker looks set from a move away from the Bernabeu, with Arsenal the leading contenders to sign the international star after fellow suitors Juventus prized Carlos Tevez from Manchester City.
Speaking yesterday about the prospects of signing Higuain, Wilshere conceded that although he had never played against the Argentinian, he had only heard great reports.
It was also asked as to whether he had ever laid eyes on Higuain’s other half, the very lovely Soledad Fandiño and shown a few pictures for good measure. The response would suggest that the changing room at Arsenal is an easy-on-the-eye spot.
“That’s the sort of picture that will go right up on the bulletin board in the changing room. Some of the lads like to put up photos of other players’ wives and girlfriends and have a bit of banter,” he said.
