Have you seen the new Cork City away jersey?

15/02/2012 5:01 pm

Cork City are back in the Airtricity League Premier Division for the first time in three years and have marked the occasion with the release of a spanking new away jersey.

The red strip features green and white chevrons and comes with the distinctive Clonakilty Blackpudding logo, following the announcement of the company’s partnership with the club earlier this month.

Fans of the Leesiders won’t have to wait long to watch the likes of Dan Murray and Colin Healy (pictured either side of Colette Twomey, Managing Director of Clonakilty Food Company) in action in the new strip as they are set to wear it in their Airtricity League opener with UCD on 2 March.

On first glance, the jersey certainly seems like a pretty decent effort to us, but what do Cork City supporters and fans of domestic football in general think? Feel free to let us know in the comment box below.

They're called Chevrons, not V shaped stripes....

Cheers for pointing that out sea_point, my knowledge of fashion vocabulary is not what it should be! It has now been corrected.
