Think that the likes of Messi and Ronaldo are the only ones capable of showboating with outrageous skills? Then you should start looking a little closer to home.
The best of what the Airtricity League has to offer might have a while to go before they can say they are on the same plain as the two best footballers in the world, but they’re well capable of a few fancy tricks of their own, as Bohemians defender Owen Heary and Shamrock Rovers midfielder Stephen Rice amply demonstrated at the Irish launch of FIFA Street lately.
From the creators of the award-winning EA SPORTS (TM) FIFA Football franchise, and inspired by street football styles from around the world, FIFA Street is the most authentic street football game ever made. Through the game, players can enjoy a unique, fun experience where everything from the environments to the gear to the music is true to street football and its culture.
Both Owen and Stephen showcased some very nifty touches, although it’s fair to say that they didn’t quite replicate some of the stuff they managed to pull off with a PlayStation controller in their hands.
Check out what Stephen and Owen had to offer, both on the pitch and in the game itself, in the video above.
