The former Stoke City manager leaves just a day and a half before the start of the new Premier League season.

Tony Pulis has left his role as Crystal Palace manager, according to Sky Sports. The Welshman kept Palace in the Premier League last season, turning the club's fortunes around after the resignation of Ian Holloway. Pulis is believed to have been frustrated by the club's failure to land a number of transfer targets this summer, and held showdown talks with chairman Steve Parish on Thursday evening. That meeting is believed to have resulted in a parting of the ways.
