Barcelona 2013 calendar: Sexy football, sexy women

Barcelona have launched their 2013 calendar and while they advocate the beautiful game on the pitch, they believe in all things beautiful off it too.

While you may have thought that Messi, Iniesta and company would be gracing the different months of next year, those clever marketing clogs earned their crust by deciding that some scantily clad women draped in Barca colours may go down well with supporters.

From what we have seen, we think they made the right choice.

Landon Donovan looking for an extended break from the game?

Last month Landon Donovan indicated that he needed to take some time away from the game. Had a certain sarong-wearing team-mate not announced that he was leaving the Galaxy at the end of the season, it would have got more airtime.

The former Everton man and all time top US goal-scorer has made comments in the past about there being more to life than football – Bill Shankly would turn in his grave – and a recent interview shows his uncertainty over his future.

“I can't put a time frame on that (a break from the game). If it takes two weeks and I'm ready to go again or two months or a year or two years,” he told The LA Times.

Donovan made more appearances this season than any of his previous 11 MLS campaigns and was named in 2012 team of the season, along with team-mate Robbie Keane.

Ronaldo’s written-off Ferrari all yours for €50,000 on Ebay

You may or may not remember that Cristiano Ronaldo crashed his Ferrari F599 in 2009 while on his way to a United training session. The car wreck surfaced recently on the French version of Ebay for the princely sum of €50,000.

Besides the poor state of the exterior, the car came with 2,000 miles on the clock and the scrap dealer in France claimed it was “certainly repairable”.

Looks like someone else thought so too, or else they're into high-end memorabilia after forking out such a huge wad of cash for the wreck.
