And that's us done for the first week of JOE's Transfer Tracker. We hope you can check back in with us from Monday morning as we can begin another week transfer rumours, speculation and confirmed signings from 7am.
The Transfer Tracker shouldn't be too hard to find - on our homepage on Monday Morning, so we look forward to doing it all again in less than 12 hours. Have a great weekend
Staying with Liverpool, the agent of Roma striker Mirko Vucinic has returned to Italy from England told Sky Sports 24 (Italy's Sky Sports News) that his client "is going through a delicate psychological moment". Agent Alessandro Lucci also confirmed that Juventus were interested in the Montenegran's signature
Rennes midfielder Sylvain Marveux, who was all set to join Liverpool on a free transfer, has failed a medical for the Anfield side. Journalist Rory Smith from the Telegraph has tweeted that the move is not 'completely dead, but now in severe doubt'.
Not the confirmed transfer news that Manchester United fans have been waiting for: 22-year-old Belgian Richie De Laet has signed for soon-to-be Premier League rivals Norwich on a season-long loan. "I'm really pleased to be able to continue my development as a young player with Norwich," said the youngster,
Ex-Juventus flop and current Wolfsburg flop Diego could be heading back to Brazil to ply his trade at Botafogo.
The playmaker didn't endear himself to Wolfsburg fans last year after being fined a week's wages for taking and missing a penalty instead of the club's regular penalty taker and also notoriously drove home after being told he was being benched for a crucial relegation-battling game at the end of season. Good riddance, then.
Could the 'new Drogba' and the actual Drogba be playing alongside one another next season? Anderlecht have confirmed that they have opened discussions with Chelsea 18-year-old striker Romelu Lukaku.
"There is still a long way to go in the negotiations," said Anderlecht boss Herman van Holsbeeck. "We are indeed negotiating with Chelsea, but there are other clubs we are talking to."
Malaga CF have been busy today - the oil-rich Qatari-owned have signed Dutch international Joris Mathijsen and French international Jeremy Toulalan, a week after signing Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The side are also strongled liked to Inter Milan's Lucio and Marseille's Lucho Gonzalez. Can money buy the club's fans happiness? Of course, this is football we're talking about.
Sebastian Larsson close to signing for Sunderland according to Swedish journalists. After being linked with about 27 players already this transfer window, can they just do us all a favour and sign someone already!
Breaking: Newcastle confirm signing of Demba Ba on a three-year contract.
There's been a trend of overpriced Englishman for sale in recent transfer windows and that could be set to continue in the near future as Owen Coyle has admitted that he could be persuaded to sell defender Gary Cahill to raise funds to boost the Trotters squad.
Sums being thrown around in relation to Cahill vary from £15 to over £20 million, which is a little high for a former Aston Villa reject, no?
The anxiety of Arsenal fans may be eased somewhat by quotes from Samir Nasri, who (kind of) says he is looking forward to next season with the Gunners.
"There is not much to say apart from don't listen to all the rumours and everything that is written or said. "Earlier in the season I spoke with the boss and we said we would talk during the summer, which is what we are going to do. "We have improved so much. "If the boss adds some good players, I really believe a trophy will be won." Satisfied, Gunners fans?
Chelsea's move for Romelu Lukaku, or the new Didier Drogba to you and me, looks like it's going to happen sooner or later, and Anderlecht general manager Herman van Holsbeeck (My God) is seemingly at pains to point out the difference between sooner and later. "There is still a long way to go in the negotiations," Holsbeeck told Sky Sports. "We are indeed negotiating with Chelsea, but there are other clubs we are talking to. "It could happen in the next half hour, it could take until August 31, that is football."
Contrary to speculation, Tony Pulis has no intention of selling Ireland midfielder to Glenn Whelan to Fulham, while Neymar insists that no deal has been done with Real Madrid despite reports of a €40 million fee being agreed for his two services.
Safe enough to say that's the last time Glenn Whelan and Neymar will be included in the same sentence.
Daniel Taylor with the Guardian tweets: 'A few to cross off - #MCFC not after Modric, Varane, Sneijder; #MUFC no desire to take on #LFC for Charlie Adam.'
Man City coach Attilio Lombardo has hinted at work being done to bring Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez to Eastlands.
It won’t be easy, though, as they will have to fight off interest from Barcelona, Man United and Inter Milan.
Udinese claim there have been five offers made for the Chile international but Lombardo reckons they have a massive chance of landing the star.
"He is an excellent player for any big club in Europe," Lombardo told Il Friuli. "This season he has often proved to be one of the best in the Italian championship.
"He is a very fast player, a great champion, with a great personality and touch of the ball.
"I repeat, it would be a major boost for any team."
Plenty going on Tyneside with the signing of Demba Ba imminent at Newcastle and Leon Best having a £4million price tag slapped on.
1255:
OAP Sol Campbell reckons he's got a stack of offers from Premier League clubs to stay in the game at the age of, ehm, something like 87.
"I'll do a pre-season with a London club - I'm not allowed to go anywhere else!" he told Sky Sports News. "I'd like to join someone by the beginning of July, to join up with the lads wherever I am."
Bit of a strange one this - Odds are tumbling on Joey Barton (Yes, Joey Barton) joining Arsenal from Newcastle. After the Defoe rumours yesterday it's suddenly becoming apparent that Wenger is changing his transfer policy from signing unheralded French youngsters to aging Englishmen whose best years are behind them.
Can't see much happening with this one, but you never know. In other news, two other Englishmen past their best could also be on the move. Sol Campbell has spoken of offers on the table from Premier League clubs, while Liverpool misfit Joe Cole could be reunited with 'Arry at Spurs.
Breaking News: Leonardo has left Inter Milan and is likely to become director of football at PSG.
1130:
Oh, dear. A local London rag caims that new Fulham manager Martin Jol is 'embarrassed' at some of the players that have been linked with a move to Fulham this summer.
"Martin is a little embarrassed by some of the players Fulham have been linked with," said an insider this week.
"The truth is he wants a younger team of quality that can cope with an exacting Europa League and Premiership campaign." Could he be talking about our own Robbie Keane, perhaps?
Danny Graham (@dawgraham10) has confirmed his switch from Watford to Swansea via his Twitter account: "It's now official iam a Swansea City player (jack) ....passed medical .... Now bring on Man City"
Ireland international Leon Best has been told he can leave Newcastle if a club comes in for him.
The striker hit a purple patch at one stage last season when banging in six goals in nine games, yet Magpies boss Alan Pardew is keen to offload a forward to make room for new signings.
19-year-old wonderkid Kevin de Bruyne is ready to join Chelsea.
The Genk player is regarded as one of the most promising midfielders in Europe and the club are believed to be in negotiations with the Blues over a deal.
Liverpool are said to be almost ready to unveil new signing Sylvain Marveaux.
The French midfielder is believed to joinging the Reds early next week on a free transfer from Rennes, according to the Sun.
A five-year deal worth €68,000 per week for the 25-year-old.
The fixtures have been made for the Premier League 2011/12 season with Manchester United away to West Brom on the opening day of the season and Liverpool up against Sunderland at Anfield. We'll have more for you on that very soon.
Meanwhile, Madrid-based sports newspaper Marca reports that Sergio Aguero is getting impatient with Real Madrid. No bid from them yet. His agents have talks lined up with Juventus.
It's official: Alex McLeish has become the new Aston Villa manager. Let's hope Villa fans haven't been watching the way Vancouver ice hockey fans deal with things not going the way they want them to.
Celtic are reportedly set to sign Israel striker Omer Damari with Beram Kayal backing his compatriot to be a success at Parkhead.
Big news here: Udinese defender Cristian Zapata has revealed he’s close to joining Liverpool.
Both the Reds and Bayern Munich have been chasing his signature, but speaking from the Colombia camp at the Copa America, Zapata made it clear where he believes his future lies.
"I do not know what to say, I can say that I am very close to Liverpool,” he said.
"At the end of the Copa America, we will see what happens with my future.
"I have gained experience, but the time has come for me to make the jump to a big team."
How likely is this scenario?
Berbatov back to Tottenham with an attached €20million for Luka Mdric to arrive at Old Trafford. Hmm, not so sure how Spurs fans would warm to that one. Let us know what you think.
More on this one, here.
It will take up to two weeks for Chelsea to appoint a new manager, Sky Sports News reports, as talks with Guus Hiddink are on-going.
Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay gave the timeline in an interview but did not disclose that Hiddink was their prime target.
He did say that the search for a new manager is going “very, very well.”
A Friday Frenzy, perhaps? Wishful thinking.
Anyway, good morning and welcome back to JOE's Transfer Tracker. Up above there you see Samuel Eto'o making a plea for a Premier League club to come and get him at Inter Milan. Well, no, he's just pleading with a ref probably in that pic but reports this morning say he does want to come to England.
The former Barca man knocked in 37 goals last season but is fed up with Serie A and hopes one of the big guns comes in with a bid.
