Ricardo Vaz Te might not be a household name, not even in Barnsley, but he’s responsible for the best quickest goal you’re likely to see for a long time.

Vaz Te, formerly a Portugal U21 and Bolton starlet who’s pitched up in the Championship, struck after just eight seconds of the Tykes’ win over Crystal Palace at Oakwell.

He subsequently scored the match-winning goal 13 minutes from the end to lift  Barnsley to within two points of the play-off places.
