Video: A super goal from the MLS but what's the giant Irish flag doing there?
Have a batch of Irish fans flown from Poland to Seattle to watch more football? It looks like it, and they saw a cracking goal.
We thought the only Irish person heading straight from Poland to the US was our captain Robbie Keane. In fact, L.A. Galaxy want him back very quickly, and he could be lining out alongside David Beckham very soon indeed.
But when this video came into our sights we were first stunned by the quality of Seattle Sounders’ Patrick Ianni’s goal against Sporting Kansas City. Eat your heart out Zlatan was heard ringing around the office.
Then we noticed a huge Irish flag hanging in the corner. Can anyone explain it? Are there huge numbers of Irish in Seattle following the football. J1 students? Emigrants? Very lost members of Trap’s Army.
Answers below please. And if you don’t know, just enjoy the goal.
