To get you in the mood for a bumper sporting weekend, here’s a classy free-kick from last night’s football in Belgium.
As we get the brekkie into us in preparation for a feast of sport this afternoon, this goal from Belgium has gotten us in the mood for all the football, racing and rugby we are going to watch today.
Standard Liege were playing Charleroi in the Belgian top flight last night and they thumped them 6-1. But the pick of the six goals was a cracking free kick from Israeli midfielder Maor Buzaglo.
With the score at 2-0, Buzaglo lined up from 27 metres away and blasted a stunning, dipping, curling shot into the top corner. We doubt Buzaglo has scored many better than that and we will be doing well to see a better struck dead ball this weekend.
Hat-tip to 101greatgoals for the video.
