Arsenal destroyed 10-man Blackburn 7-1 at the Emirates today, with Robin van Persie nabbing a hat-trick.

Arsenal were always the favourites to beat struggling Blackburn at home today but it started to look bad for the visitors when RVP scored after just two minutes.

Morten Gamst Pedersen got a pretty tasty equaliser but soon it was 2-1 thanks to the Dutchman’s second and wonderkid Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain got his first Premier League goal to make it 3-1.

Blackburn’s Gael Givet was then sent off and the game became even more one-sided. Mikel Arteta made it four, Oxlade-Chamberlain got another and then RVP completed his hat-trick before Thierry Henry got in on the act.
