Video: Bring on England! Robbie Keane bags a hat-trick in 19 minutes for LA Galaxy

Okay, there were two penalties, but Robbie looked in great form ahead of the big game on Wednesday in Wembley.

We know it is only a friendly but it would be just great if we could beat England on Wednesday night in Wembley. If we are to do so, then in all likelihood we will need our top scorer Robbie Keane to at least have a good game, and maybe nab a goal or two.

So it has to be good news that Keane played a stormer overnight in the MLS. Robbie set up the first, and scored the next three, as the LA Galaxy crushed the Seattle Sounders 4-0.

After teeing up Sean Franklin for the opener after 12 minutes, Robbie got on the scoresheet after 24 minutes when he tidily tucked a half-chance past Michael Gspurning. Skip to 1.50 in the video below.

And after Seattle's Djimi Traore (yes, that Djimi Traore) took down Gyasi Zardes, Robbie stepped up to make it 3-0. It took him two attempts but he got the job done. Skip to 2.50 in the video.

And just before half-time he made it 4-0 and completed his hat-trick via a second penalty. Skip to 5.30 in the video.

One other matter of note was the appearance as a second half sub for the Galaxy by Robbie Rogers. You may remember him as the player who came out as gay and retired from the game earlier this year. He signed for the Galaxy last week and by playing last night he becomes the first openly gay player to play in a major (ish) male sport in the US. Skip to 7.05 in the video.
