Video: Fairly amusing clip of Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis meeting the Chelsea squad

It’s not exactly the most hilarious thing they’ve ever done, but there were a few funny moments when Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis ran into the Chelsea squad in Seattle recently.

The comedy duo were in Seattle to promote their new movie, The Campaign, and while in the Emerald City they took time out for a little meet and greet with some of the Chelsea squad, who are currently in the US on a pre-season tour.

Meetings between celebrities from different fields can often be awkward affairs, but Ferrell and Galifianakis seemed to be enjoying themselves, even if an elderly looking Chelsea masseuse had no idea who Ferrell was.

Without wanting to spoil what is a pretty brief clip, there’s a pretty funny exchange of gifts between Galifianakis and Petr Cech, while Ferrell suggests that the Czech ‘keeper should try wearing a St. Louis Rams football helmet instead of the rugby cap that has become part of his matchday attire ever since the unfortunate collision with our own Stephen Hunt a few years back.

Cech, Paulo Ferreira and Frank Lampard all posed for pictures with the Hollywood stars and the FA Cup and Champions League trophies, while substitute ‘keeper Ross Turnbull somehow also managed to muscle his way into the pictures, looking more like a lucky fan sneaking his way into the snaps than an actual professional footballer.

Check out Ferrell and Galifianakis’ encounter with the Chelsea lads in the video above and for a taste of what’s in store when The Campaign is released later this summer, have a look at the official trailer below.
