As we saw at Euro 2012, Mario Balotelli is not in bad shape. In fact, if Super Mario wasn’t a footballer, he would love a crack at UFC. We would love to see that.
As the Premier League season gets closer we are in preparation for a fresh onslaught of Mario Balotelli stories. Some will be true, most will be made up but he undoubtedly brings a lot of craic to the Premier League.
And today Mario has served us up another treat, at the launch of the new Manchester City kit. After saying that the shirt he wears doesn’t really matter on the pitch (cue Umbro chief holding his head in his hands) the Italian was asked what sport he would be playing if he wasn’t a footballer.
His answer, with a totally straight face, was UFC. Mario says he loves the Octagon and while we would miss him in football, we reckon he could certainly liven up Dana White’s world.
