Video: Luis Suarez's second goal today was just a bit special

What is it about Carrow Road and Norwich that brings out the best in Luis Suarez? The Uruguayan scored another brilliant hat-trick against the Canaries today, including a peach of a second goal.

Liverpool’s performances to date this season suggested that they would get off to a winning start sooner rather than later and their first victory of the season proved to be an emphatic one, with the Reds thumping in five goals past a hapless Norwich at Carrow Road.

Suarez was the star man with his second hat-trick against Norwich this year, the pick of the three strikes coming just before half-time with a customary nutmeg on the edge of the box and a beautiful outside of the boot finish.

In what is a quite unbelievable stat, Suarez has now scored double the amount of league goals at Carrow Road in 2012 than he has at Anfield. Can he play Norwich every week? Nuri Sahin and Steven Gerrard were also amongst the goals.

The goalfest at Carrow Road was reflected across the Premier League this afternoon with Chelsea getting the better of Arsenal to stay on top, Everton continuing their magnificent start with a comfortable home victory over Southampton and Reading and Newcastle playing out a cracking 2-2 draw at the Madejski Stadium.

Elsewhere, Edin Dzeko struck late to give champions Man City a vital away win over Fulham, Steven Fletcher scored his fifth and Sunderland’s fifth of the season in a narrow victory over Wigan and Stoke continued to put a halt to Swansea’s march with an easy win at the Britannia thanks to a brace from Peter Crouch.

Premier League results:

Arsenal 1-2 Chelsea

Everton 3-1 Southampton

Fulham 1-2 Manchester City

Norwich 2-5 Liverpool

Reading 2-2 Newcastle

Stoke 2-0 Swansea

Sunderland 1-0 Wigan
