Tottenham striker Clint Dempsey grabbed a brace as the Americans recorded a memorable win over their European opponents, but it was a comedy own-goal that was the biggest talking point.
Normally tight at the back, the new-look side struggled throughout, but the concession of the own-goal was the icing on the cake.
Ter Stegen was between the sticks, but had a bit of a brain-fart as a back-pass from Howedes was mis-controlled and rolled into the net.
Not one of his better moments this.
