Well, at least he didn't have to put on a bib. The always entertaining Mario Balotelli had to quickly get changed in last night's Italian friendly - for taking to the pitch while wearing the wrong jersey.
In the clip above, Balotelli can be seen accidentally hurting Diego Perez of Uruguay in last night's 1-0 Italian defeat, yet the real story can be seen in the replay that follows afterwards.
As Italy and Uruguay both share kit suppliers in Puma, both were tasked with showing off their latest home jerseys for the first time ever for last night's friendly, although evidently nobody told Mario Balotelli.
The Manchester City star was a second-half substitute and as you can see in the above clip, took to the pitch and indeed, played quite a few minutes, in the old Italian jersey instead.
We're not sure if Super Mario was making a bold fashion statement of solidarity for the old kit or if perhaps he's not a fan of the new shirt but thankfully, he got help throwing the new shirt over his head and didn't interrupt the game too much.
