Chelsea and Spurs produced a brilliant 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge this evening but the best part of it for football fans with a silly streak was Ramires’ comedy fall in the second half.
The Brazilian midfielder actually scored one of a number of impressive goals in the clash between two sides chasing Champions League places, but unfortunately for him, plenty of people are more likely to remember a rather more unfortunate incident in the second half.
With Spurs a goal behind and chasing the game just after the hour mark, the Blues looked set to kill off the game after a quick counter attack but with the Spurs defence struggling, Juan Mata’s pass for Ramires was just slightly behind the onrushing midfielder.
Though he had to check his run a little it was still a decent chance for Ramires, until, that is, he slipped and fell onto the ground, rattling his face off the ground with some force in the process.

Yes it was unfortunate and yes it looked quite painful, but does that mean we’re not going to laugh at it?
Not on your life.
