Video: Shocking karate kick attack by Brazilian player on referee

Even by the standards of South American football, this player attack on a ref is a shocker.
From the third division of Brazil’s Paulista League, this is a truly astonishing attack. Johnny Dos Santos of Independente Limeira wasn’t too chuffed with referee Mauricio Antonio Fioretti after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Marilia.
So, when the final whistle blew Dos Santos launched himself at the poor ref in frankly disgraceful fashion. Dos Santos was sent off but the good news is that the ref was okay, only suffering a deep cut to his shoulder and arm.
A hefty ban is probably headed towards Dos Santos, and it is well deserved too.
