If every Premier League game is like Chelsea’s win over Reading last night, then we’re in for a treat this season.
This one had home banker written all over it but instead, the newly promoted side came and really put it up to the European Champions.
In fact, they can count themselves unlucky not to have taken more away from Stamford Bridge considering that Fernando Torres’ decisive strike to put the Blues in front ten minutes from time was blatantly offside. Then again, after what he went through for most of last season, Fernando could do with a little bit of help from the officials now and then.
Torres, Frank Lampard, Gary Cahill, Branislav Ivanovic, Pavel Pogbrenyak and Danny Guthrie were all amongst goals, but aside from that Eden Hazard was amazing (again) and both Petr Cech and Adam Federici (again) were responsible for two of the worst goalkeeping howlers you’ll see all season.
