We know it is getting late so we hope this doesn’t give any JOE readers nightmares. Ouch.

Before you head off to bed tonight, spare a though for Borussia Dortmund’s Lukasz Piszczek. The Polish defender performed what some of us still call a ‘Phil Babb’ in the Bundesliga at the weekend.

In a desperate bid to clear a goal-bound effort and maintain his side’s 1-0 lead over Hanover, Piszcek slid towards goal and scooped the ball away. Sadly for Lukasz, in the process of doing his job he managed to fly balls first into the post.

We are glad to report that Lukasz was able to continue and was arguably Dortmund’s best player in the game. In the end, Hanover got a late equalizer so the score ended 1-1. We can only hope that there is no long-term damage for the unfortunate defender.
