As if Real Madrid didn’t have enough things going for them, they also happen to have one of the all-time greats as an assistant coach. Zinedine Zidane has been back at his old club since 2009, working in a variety of roles and he is now Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant at the Bernabeu.
That means the 41-year old still gets out and about on the training pitch, which must be great for all the players, but we wonder if Xabi Alonso will be doing a few extra laps after this move.
During a standard ‘piggy in the middle’ session in preparation for this weekend’s game with Seville, Zidane was the man frantically running about to try and intercept the ball and somehow Alonso managed to nutmeg the Frenchman with a great pass.
The pass was perfect and the look that Zidane gives the Spaniard is chilling.
But as you will see, his bad mood was short lived and they made up very quickly.
