Unless you were living on Mars for the last few days, Argentinian football is in a state of mourning right now having lost Sunday's World Cup Final to Germany.
Lionel Messi and co may have lost on the pitch but away from it the lads are winners in our view.
Argentina's most popular newspaper has reports of a fantastic gesture from the World Cup runners-up. Apparently, the squad has donated their $135,000 World Cup appearance bonuses to a local paediatric cancer centre in Buenos Aires.
This donation was made through the Lionel Messi Foundation, which has previously given money to this hospital, and was made at the behest of the two main leaders of the Argentina side on the pitch; Messi and Javier Mascherano.
The bonus money is earmarked to ensure a better quality of care for those unfortunate children with cancer and JOE wants to say a huge well done to the Argentinian squad.
The issue of bonuses has reared its ugly head in the last few weeks, most notably with Ghana and Cameroon, but it's nice to see that this money is being given to a fantastic cause.
