Tommy Walsh: Lar was not trying to get me sent-off
Kilkenny hurler admits that he was puzzled by Tipperary tactics that led to Lar Corbett following him for the All-Ireland semi-final.

The only man in GAA history to win nine consecutive All-Stars says he does not think it was a deliberate attempt by Tipp to get the Tullaroan man sent-off after he picked up an early yellow card.
“I don’t think that anyone in hurling – obviously there will always be speculation – ever really tries to get anyone sent off” he said.
While stating that he had never seen such a tactic on the field before, it did not change his game plan in the slightest.
“My job was just trying to keep my man from scoring and that happened to be Pa and trying to get on the ball myself and hit ball up to the forwards” Walsh added.
Kilkenny will be favourites going into yet another All-Ireland decider and Walsh will be short odds himself to pick up an incredible tenth All-Star.
We get the feeling Galway won’t be asking Joe Canning to pick up the Kilkenny wing-back.
