Dublin GAA star Bernard Brogan braved a breezy Dublin Port to launch a fantastic new GAA tournament for minors today. And more teams are needed.
Cúl 5 may well be the best thing to hit underage Gaelic football for a very long time. Red Bull have put together this first-of-its-kind event, which will be held later this month, and if you know a team who may fancy it, please pass this story along to them.
Played in a specially constructed pitch encircled by shipping containers it is the nearest thing we have ever heard to indoor Gaelic football five-a-side and the event in Dublin Port should be great to watch and even better to play in.
Teams of five will face off in five-minute halves with five special rules - including those on tackling, and only goals counting - so it is designed to really enhance young player’s skills of the game in a fun environment.

We were down at the launch today and spoke to Bernard so we will have lots more on the event, and the man himself, on the site tomorrow.
