Hurling Round-up: All Ireland Semi-finals decided
In Hurling and we’re down to the final four in the All Ireland Hurling Championship as the Semi-Finals have been decided.
In first Quarter-final of the day Cork narrowly beat Waterford at Semple Stadium by 1-19 to 19, Jamie Coughlan’s goal proving the difference between the two sides and Waterford having to deal with yet another year without silverware.
Jimmy-Barry Murphy’s men marched on however and their rejuvenation under the Cork legend faces the challenge of the surprise Leinster champions Galway on August 12th.
Later on in Thurles, Brian Cody rang in the changes and it paid off. The Kilkenny boss had changed five of the personnel who had lost to Galway in the Leinster final and a 14-man Kilkenny trounced Limerick by 4-16 to 1-16.
That means we will get to see a repeat of the last three All-Ireland finals as they face Tipperary on August 19th.
