Any Mayo fans with a couple of spare tickets to the All-Ireland Final might spare a thought for Conor Mortimer, who’s looking for a pair on Done Deal (Note: may not be the Conor Mortimer).
Although he left the Mayo panel in controversial circumstances earlier this year, you’d think that given his long association with Mayo football and his contacts in the game that The Mort would be able to get his hands on a pair of tickets for the big one against Donegal in a fortnight’s time.
Not so, it would seem, or at least not if this ad on Irish advertising website DoneDeal.ie is to be believed .

Although it would be brilliant if it was true, it's almost certainly not. The likelihood is that this ad is either a complete spoof or that the person behind it is using Mortimer’s name to attract attention and increase their chances of getting a couple of much sought-after tickets. In that regard, mission accomplished.
The majority of tickets haven’t officially been released yet, but if any good Samaritans out there have a couple of spare tickets available and would like to part with them to this person, whether it’s the former Mayo player Conor Mortimer, another Conor Mortimer or the person using his name as an alias, you can check out the ad in full here.
Thanks to Patrick McGeoghan for pointing this one out to us on Twitter.
