Cork hurler Paudie O'Sullivan could miss the rest of the season after suffering a serious injury tonight that saw the club championship game abandoned.
By Declan Whooley
The younger brother of Diarmuid was playing for Imokilly in their championship tie against CIT tonight when he sufferred what appears to be a broken shinbone after just seven minutes.
An ambulance was called and O’Sullivan was eventually taken from the field in great distress before the referee decided to call of the game.
The talented hurler looks set for a long period on the sidelines if the initial prognosis proves correct and will be a huge loss to Jimmy Barry-Murphy with the Munster championship looming on the horizon.
We wish the Cloyne man a speedy recovery.
