There is no escape from GAA flags, and even a Star, at America’s biggest sporting event.
As we have seen at events from the Masters to the Olympics, there are few events these days that won’t feature a GAA jersey or flag.
So we were not surprised to see a Mayo flag flying high in the Superdome in New Orleans just before Super Bowl XLVII kicked off between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens.
Thanks to Des Cahill (@sportsdes) we first had the Mayo flag, originally tweeted by Club Mayo.

That was soon followed by a picture of Kerry star Kieran Donaghy, proudly wearing his No 14 Kingdom shirt at the game.

We’re sure they are all having a great time, the lucky fellas.
