The dates and times for the majority of the second round of the All-Ireland football qualifiers have been confirmed.
Seven of the games will definitely take place on Saturday week next, 9 July.
Meath’s prize for their Cian Ward-inspired win over Louth at the weekend is a date with Galway in Navan and that game will go ahead at Pairc Tailteann at 7pm.
The meeting of Leinster rivals Laois and Kildare, which will see the Lilywhites trying to bounce back from the controversial ending to their Leinster semi-final defeat to Dublin on Sunday, also starts at 7pm at O’Moore Park.
There are two more games down to start at 7, both involving meetings of Ulster’s fallen giants and improving Leinster minnows. Longford welcome Tyrone for an intriguing encounter at Pearse Park, while Wicklow travel to the Athletic Grounds to take on Armagh.
Earlier in the day, Carlow make the long trip north to meet Antrim at 2pm while Down take on Leitrim in Newry at 3pm.
London take on Waterford in Ruislip at 6.30pm. It’s a third Championship game of the summer for the Exiles, whose previous two ended in an extra-time defeat to Mayo and a convincing win over Fermanagh.
As yet, there is no confirmation of the venue or time for the final game of the second round qualifiers – Limerick meet Offaly at the Gaelic Grounds, but it may well go ahead as a double-header with the Limerick hurlers if the latter come through their All-Ireland qualifier against Wexford this weekend.
The Laois-Kildare game will be screened live on TV3.
