The vocals might not win any awards, the photoshopping isn’t the greatest we have ever seen and were not sure the word flow is up to the highest musical standards. But it might be the most catchy All-Ireland song yet.
With a county so steeped in musical tradition, it should come as little surprise that the creative juices are flowing in the Banner since they reached the final. The songs have been streaming in since the win over Limerick and it
isn’t even the first song we have had today.
Buddy Early and the Banner Bangers – if there is a better Irish band name out there please let us know – have put together their own take on The Village People’s song 'In The Navy' in tribute to the Clare head honcho, who comes from an area where the bridge is six miles long apparently.
Some of the lyrics are out of the top drawer and state they will make the “crazy, Cork bandistos” walk the plank next month.
