Video: The most vicious GAA elbow you will see today
Seven-a-side Gaelic football is a bit of fun, right? Not if you’re playing against this guy.
All-Ireland football final weekend is probably the biggest GAA jamboree of the year. To capitalise on the increased coverage, many clubs host special tournaments at the same time, turning the entire weekend into a festival of football and fun. Most of the time.
One of those events is the Rathoath Sevens, the biggest seven-a-side tournament for Intermediate teams. It takes place this weekend in Meath but the lads who run it sent us this video, warning us that you need to be tough to take part.
In a move that is more UFC than GAA, one player plants a savage elbow on another in this clip. If you are heading to the Meath town to play this weekend, don’t say you haven’t been warned.

If he did this on the street he would get 6 months and rightly so. Because he is on a football field it is seen as "one of those things", "part of the game". I left the GAA after 35 years playing, coaching and club president because of this neolithic man mindset. To hell with Rathoath for using this as an advertisment asking "are you able for it"? Move out of the damn stone age you fools.
