The success of Dublin in this year's football National League has been a major financial boost for the GAA.

By making it through to Sunday's League final, Dublin are expected to attract a 55,000 crowd to Croke Park.

Such a big gate would boost the GAA coffers by as much as €650,000, according to a report in the Irish Daily Star. Should this be the case, that would mean that this year's League will have taken an additional €1.4 million compared to last year.

It would come in the wake of Dublin's four-game spring series, which netted the GAA something in the region of €1.1 million in gate receipts after a total of 112,972 fans made their way through the turnstyles.

Tickets for Sunday's double header, which sees Laois take on Donegal for the League 2 crown and Dublin go up against reigning champioins Cork for the League 1 title, cost €25 (adult stand ticket), €15 (terraces), €5 (juveniles) and €25 (family tickets).
