Kerry will go into battle without one of their most experienced warriors when they take on Cork in the Munster Final in Killarney on Sunday.
A flimsy hamstring has ruled Paul Galvin out of the match-day squad for the meeting with the Rebels and as a result, Jack O’Connor has named an unchanged XV from the side that eased their way past Limerick in the Munster semi-final last month.
Like Kerry, Cork barely broke sweat in their Munster semi-final victory over Waterford, but it hasn’t stopped Conor Counihan from making three changes to the side that racked up a whopping 5-17 against the Déise.
Jamie O’Sullivan, Noel O’Leary and Pearse O’Neill are all drafted in with Eoin Cadogan, Eoin Cotter and Fiachra Lynch making way.
Counihan has also reshuffled his side positionally with Canty moving into full-back to pick up Kieran Donaghy, O’Leary slotting in at right-half back and Pearse O’Neill taking up the left-wing forward position.
The much-anticipated clash of the age-old rivals throws-in at 2pm in Killarney on Sunday.
