Do YOU have the balls for Blue September? It may involve some skinny-dipping
Do you have what it takes to strip off and take a Dip in the Nip all in the name of charity? If so, you should check out Blue September's Dip in the Nip challenge.
On September 30, one of the most fun, innovative and banter filled fundraisers is set to invade the Wicklow coastline as men from all over the country will attempt to skinny dip in the Irish Sea in the name of men’s cancer.
Now, men’s cancer is obviously a serious problem for us blokes, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a bit of light hearted fundraising along the way. The Blue September Dip in the Nip is in its second year, and it promises to be bigger and bluer than ever before – however, the 'bluer' bit might be somewhat dependent on the weather...
So what exactly is this Dip in the Nip? Well, teams of blue-balled blokes will be baring all, each hoping to raise the most amount of sponsorship money. The winning team will then receive the much-coveted Paddy Power Perpetual Best Butts Trophy, pictured below.

The Paddy Power Perpetual Best Butts Trophies... Asstonishing, aren't they?
But that’s not all. There will also be a prize for the Top Individual Fundraiser along with specially designed t-shirts for the Top Ten Individual Fundraisers’ as well as t-shirts for the Top Two Teams.
In case you’re a tad chilly after taking a plunge in the Irish Sea, while wearing only your birthday suit, there will be a BBQ on the beach afterwards for all the dip participants.
To add to the fun, Blue September have produced a cheeky (or should that be ballsy) key ring in the shape of two blue balls, designed to illustrate just how simple it is for lads to do a regular self-check. They will be available at this year’s Dip in the Nip so keep your eye out when you drop down.
If you think you and your friends, colleagues or sport teammates have what it takes to win the Best Butts Trophy, then register now over here. Beware though, the competition is tough!

Agree with all you say, but the Dip in the Nip is not a nudist event, and appeals to people who would not consider themselves nudists, or be interested in embracing that lifestyle. Most Dippers have never skinny dipped before, and do it largely because it's a fundraiser for various cancer charities, a cause close to the heart of many of them.
