Irish people don’t spend enough time under the covers
According to a new survey, 45 per cent of Irish people don’t get enough sleep to get them happily through the day, so that might explain your latest mistake at work.
If you don’t get the recommended eight hours of sleep per day then you could be teeing yourself up for a disastrous day at work. That’s according to the findings in a new survey that looked at us Irish and our sleeping patterns.
Apparently, not getting the correct amount of sleep could leave you cranky and irritable for the day ahead. Doctors say that a good night’s sleep will also make things easier in the morning when you’re trying to get up. So that should come as welcome news to the 36 per cent of Irish people who claim it’s a struggle to get out of bed in the morning.
However, we’re not all bad sleepers on this Emerald Isle. Over a quarter of the people polled said that they enjoy a well-rested and uninterrupted sleep every night.
If you’re not getting a good night’s sleep then you should trying sleeping on the other side of the bed. Around 45 per cent of respondents said they prefer sleeping on the right side of the bed while only 39 favoured the left, and only five per cent of respondents said they sleep wherever they can squeeze in.
However, you might as well forget about sleeping on the good side of the bed now… if you have a missus, that is.
