Bad news for those who like to sip on a nice cuppa tea a few times a day - it's cancerous apparently. Men who drink several cups of tea a day are 50 per cent more likely to develop prostate cancer.
No one tell Mrs Doyle, she'll be distraught, as will most of the nation. That's if it actually turns out to be true. It does sound like a very Daily Mail headline.
The new research heavily contradicts the results of previous studies. The boys at Glasgow University say that people who drink more than seven cups of tea a day are at a significantly higher risk of getting cancer.
It's not all bad news for tea lovers. They're less likely to be overweight, be alcoholics or hav high cholesterol. The research boffins in Glasgow said they were surprised then that it turns out to be cancerous in large amounts.
However, all is not lost. Cutting down by one cup a day can stave off prostate cancer, the most prevalent amongst men.
The head of the research team, Dr Kashif Shafique, said: "I was surprised when we discovered there does seem to be a link. We found that with each cup of tea drank above seven cups, the bigger the risk of you catching the cancer.
"We don't know whether tea itself is a risk factor or if tea drinkers are generally healthier and live to an older age when prostate cancer is more common anyway."
So now you know what to do, stop after the sixth cup of tea. Simple.

Here’s how much water you should drink every day, depending on your age
