We’re used to Ricky Gervais being very funny, slightly smug and just a little bit out of shape. Not anymore it seems.

The comedian was never afraid to take the p*ss out of his own weight during his time on The Office and Extras (give the David Bowie song another listen if you’re in any doubt) but anyone who’s played close attention in recent years will have noticed that he’s been shedding the pounds bit by bit. Not only that, but if the evidence of a picture he posted on his Facebook page this evening is anything to go by, he’s managed to get himself into serious shape and is obviously looking after himself quite well this weather.
