ARC Cancer Support Centre is hosting their first 'Dip in The Nip' on June 30, so get involved if you Dare to Bare to Fight Cancer.
Cancer is something that has affected pretty much all of us in some way shape or form. Sadly, there is still no cure, but there are plenty of ways you can help people suffering from the disease.
One such way is to help raise money for the ARC Cancer Support Centre by stripping off on June 30 and going for a skinny-dip in the cold Irish sea.
The event will be held in the early hours of June 30 somewhere in Dublin (on a beach, presumably) but the exact location won’t be disclosed until the week before.
It’s all in aid of ARC Cancer Support Centre vital services.
In case you’ve never heard of the ARC Cancer Support Centre, it is a registered voluntary organisation (CHY 10857) founded in 1994 to provide a drop-in service and professional support to men and women affected by cancer and to those who care for them.
Whether someone has recently been diagnosed with a form of cancer, are in recovery, or is a family member, friend of someone with cancer, ARC welcomes everyone with open arms and cares for them during these difficult times.
All services are provided free of charge at their centres in Eccles Street, Dublin 7 and South Circular Road, Dublin 8.
Seriously lads, it’s a great cause and it’s sure to be a fair bit of craic. You can register for the men's or the couples dip and find out everything else you need to know about the 'Dip in the Nip' by clicking here.
For more info about cancer and how to deal with it, check out the ARC Cancer Support website.
