Everyone will remember the joy of doing burpees from PE class or training, but one Derry man has done 2,013 in a row.

There are some exercises that can be enjoyable, like the great feeling you get when you've been out for a run or hit that final rep in the gym. Other exercises, like the burpee, are painful and joyless, even if you know that they're great for you.
Derry man David Doherty is well aware how good burpees are for him though, after he took on a challenge to complete 2,013 in under 6 hours to raise money for Foyle Search & Rescue.
Aptly set to the tune of jump around, you can see his challenge here as he kicks off at 7am, and goes right through for 4 hours and 48 minutes, with only a minute to rest after every 100 burpees.
With a little help from a few friends, he's able to reach the mark, and as if that isn't tiring enough, he then ran a 5k in under 32 minutes straight afterwards, just for the craic. We're tired just watching him, fair play!
