The lads from Eire Og Seville took centre stage during half-time of a La Liga game last night, producing one class photo in the process.
As you may have heard last week, last night’s game between Sevilla and Granada was going to be no ordinary La Liga game. Sevilla were hosting an ‘Irish’ night at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán and that included a half-time GAA match starring Eire Og Seville.
The Tricolour was on display, Irish music was played before the game and Irish passport holders got in for a fiver.
But the star of the show was the Eire Og team, who put on a backs and forwards game at the interval to show the 25,000 Spanish fans, and those watching on Marca TV, what the great game of Gaelic football is all about.
The GAA website quotes Kevin Lenane, club co- founder and Chairman as saying: "The Spanish may have their bulls and flamenco, but we brought them culture in Gaelic football tonight.”
Anyway, while we search for some video of the lads on action, enjoy this brilliant photo of one of the Eire Og players in full flight. INPHO, who provide the picture, don’t name the flying man in green but we will be getting in touch with the lads at Eire Og this morning to ensure he gets full credit.

And we expect the GAA lads may be asked back, as Sevilla won the game 3-0.
UPDATE: We have a name folks! We have been informe that the flying man in the above pic is 26-year-old Tommy "Biscuit" Barry from Clonmel.
